Here is your suggested schedule. Every stop and timing can be flexibly tailored to your personal preferences and pace.
Meet your group in the lobby of your downtown Hangzhou hotel at 8:00, then board our private vehicle for Wuzhen (approx. 1.5 hrs).
Wuzhen East Scenic Area
Visit Mao Dun Former Residence (classic Jiangnan style), the Hundred-Bed Museum and Wood-Carving Museum. Look out for black-awning canal boats and blue calico cloth drying in the open air.
Independent Lunch
Your guide escorts you to the local food street — try braised duck or mutton (own expense).
Transfer to Nanxun
Drive to Nanxun Ancient Town (approx. 1 hr).
Nanxun Ancient Town
Stroll Baijianlou (Hundred-Buildings waterfront residences from the Ming Dynasty). On Silk Street, watch artisans craft award-winning Jili Lake Silk and touch genuine samples. Wander the old main street past vintage grocery shops and tea houses, away from the crowds.
Three-Flavour Tea Experience
Taste sweet wok-toasted rice tea, savoury smoked-bean tea and green tea. Brew the smoked-bean tea yourself, paired with traditional orange-red rice cakes.
Pingtan Folk Show
Enjoy a Suzhou Pingtan performance — traditional Chinese storytelling-ballad art — featuring excerpts from Legend of the White Snake. Your guide explains the story and instruments; photos with performers welcome.
Return to Hangzhou
